Geekiness doesn't have to mean an absence of style, as we learned at this year's Geek Prom at the Science Museum.

Rosalyn Claret
24, office manager for a medieval music ensemble

What are you wearing?
Ragstock glasses, shirt and socks. Vintage jacket and skirt from My Orange Bag in Vancouver, British Columbia. The shoes are M by Morenatom. And my prized bear hat from Glacier National Park.

Where do you like to shop?
I have an eBay problem.

Describe your personal style:
Bearly there. Ha! ha! . . . ha.

What comic book character has the best style?
I suppose Captain Underpants doesn't count, but the name really says it all.
Star Wars or Star Trek? I grew up watching TNG. I can still recite the serial number of that noble vessel for which my pet fish, Starship Enterprise, is named.

Cola Claret
23, waitress, Isle Royale National Park

What are you wearing?
A skirt, shirt and tie from Ragstock, and a jacket and shoes from Value Village.
Where do you like to shop? Thrift stores, vintage clothing stores, Urban Outfitters, American Apparel, eBay.

Describe your personal style:
Eclectic, I guess, and it can change drastically from day to day.

What comic book character has the best style?
I dressed up as Poison Ivy for Halloween the past two years. That was a fun costume to make and to wear.

Star Wars or Star Trek?
Star Wars, because the heroism and romance are much more epic. Star Trek is much more mundane. Plus, lightsabers are sweet.

Katherine Goertz
24, student

What are you wearing?
A green chiffon 1970s prom dress bought in New York or San Francisco, and lime green Schuler shoes.

Where do you like to shop?
The Nordstrom shoe department.

Describe your personal style:
Green.

What comic book character has the best style?
Spider-Man, because he at least had the sense to know that you have to cover your face if you don't want to be recognized. Also he is fully coordinated.

Star Wars or Star Trek?
Star Trek
, because there's a moral every week.

Tim Kindem
28, Realtor

What are you wearing?
A denim suit from Farah, which made great clothes in the '60s and '70s. It is way too big for me, which adds to the geek theme.

Where do you like to shop?
Tatters, H&M, Express, Ragstock.

Describe your personal style:
'60s and '70s cool, with touches of '80s new wave and '00s retro-cool. I like to mix eras.

What comic book character has the best style?
Wolverine. I think he's an amazingly rich and complex character. Plus, his superpowers are just so rad I can't even handle it.

Star Wars or Star Trek?

There's certainly never been a Stars Wars moment where they're using the Force to save whales. That's major points for Star Wars in my book.
